Hi Everybody-
Merry Christmas from the Bamboo Apartments! We’re sending you warm and sunny wishes from our little Island. It’s December 18 as I write this and a balmy 79 degrees with a light breeze. Hope that the spirit of Christmas will keep you warm until you come back to see us again.
Merry Christmas from the Bamboo Apartments
It’s a beautiful time of year on the Island — with nightly lighted boat parades, Selby Gardens Lights in Bloom, and lots of Christmas shopping at the little island shops.
Missing Gladys at the beach
It’s been two years since my mom, Gladys, passed away. Here is a photo of the two of us from a few years back. She is happily holding her evening cocktail, and I think I might have been leaning on her a little too much. It’s summer, and a storm is coming up. We miss you, Mom!
Winter Sunsets
Winter sunsets are a technicolor, cotton-candy experience. Because the sky is so clear, and humidity is so low, the colors are much more intense. Imagine this as your Christmas card– Merry Christmas from the Bamboo Apartments!
Hurricane Hermine
Hurricane Hermine passed well away from us, but there was still a lot of wind and water. Storms at the beach are incredible– it’s difficult to believe the water can come all the way up to the sand dune.
Relaxing at the Beach
Everyone has been having a relaxing Fall at the beach. Here are some of our favorite guests.
The Happy Goddess
Our dear friend, The Happy Goddess aka Sandra Filer held her annual December Mercation– a vacation for mermaids (you know who you are) and created the most fantastic mermaid items. Her “Making Wishes Come True” Goddess Retreat in January is almost sold out. Some of the ladies are coming early and staying late to extend their beach time.
