Plenty of real estate — we hate being crowded, and are guessing that you feel the same way. We even have a Gulf-front horseshoe court. Make friends and pitch a few shoes.
We’re right on the beach — no streets to cross! While you are on the beach, if you find that you forgot something, it’s not a major expedition to go get it. And it’s no fun dodging cars on Gulf Drive with a little one in tow—skip the whole ordeal and stay with us on the beach side.
One assigned parking spot per unit — conveniently located to minimize your walk—we hate dragging luggage a million miles. Our units are ground level—three little steps into the Cottage, and one little step into the apartments. No climbing an Everest of stairs, with luggage in tow. We also have an extra parking spot if someone comes to visit you for the day.
Our king-size beds have custom foam mattresses — soft and comfortable. The queen size sleeper sofas in our apartments have pillow top mattresses.
Our Gulf front patios are nestled under ancient Australian pines — a perfect view of the sunset, without getting cooked in the sun. Hang out with the beverage of your choice, your family and friends, or a good book.
The clothesline. Yes, we have an old-fashioned clothesline, vintage 1948. Hang up your bathing suits and towels, and pretty much anything else, and let them dry the old-fashioned way.
On-site coin laundry, in the old cistern house. Our cistern house was built in 1916, and leans a little bit—it’s over 90 years old—so we are cutting it some slack.
We are walking distance to almost everything — Publix grocery store, Walgreens drug store and liquor store, the Café on the Beach, the beach playground, and the (free) trolley stop. Check out the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast at the Café!
If you need something and we don’t have it, we will try our best to get it. We’ve supplied everything from hand-mixers for cake-baking, to big roasting pans for turkeys, to a weekly cleaning service for our long-term winter visitors.
